We fished lake exclusive on Jimmy’s lake (2 anglers) in August 23. On arrival we were given a warm welcome from Peter, Frazer and Sasha the dog. We found the site to be in tip top condition, clear swims with grass cut short and shower / toilet / dining facilities all clean & tidy. The lakes are very picturesque and give you a feeling of exclusivity and tranquillity. Getting the cars right up to the swims to unload all of the gear was a massive bonus compared with other French venues we’ve fished. We ended the week on 25 fish between us the biggest just under 39lb with an equal activity coming in the day and night which was quite refreshing as a lot of venues I’ve fished in France tend be active only at night. At nights we prioritized fish safety and reduced down to 1 / 2 rods so potentially could have caught more in the night.
We used the lake supplied bait, boiles fished over spod mix and pellet, which the fish are used to seeing as a regular food source.
We would recommend the food package as it was all home cooked and great value compared with drive a survive.
Overall we really enjoyed the trip and would highly recommend the venue

smithys carp fishing lakes are a dream. the lakes are fantastic. Pete and frazer the owners could not do enough to make us feel welcome. They went above and beyond to make sure the kids ate the food they like as we all know how fussy kids can be. they to the time to make sure the kids where on the right spots to catch showed them how to make rigs and bait up . i can not recommend this place enough.
look forward to going back next year.
the food was fantastic and well with the money.

We had a great time on the lakes.
The hosts were great and facilities nice and accessible. All the bait was provided for us and the location was beautiful. We caught some lovely fish. Highly recommended if you would like intimate lakes with a good stock of carp.

I had an incredible 7-night stay at the fishing lake. The serene surroundings provided the perfect escape from city life. The cozy cabin offered all the comforts I needed. Each day, I enjoyed peaceful mornings by the water, casting my line and reeling in some impressive catches. The variety of fish was impressive, and the knowledgeable staff were always ready with tips. Evenings were spent around the campfire, sharing stories with fellow anglers. The experience was truly rejuvenating, and I can't wait to return for another memorable fishing getaway.

My 7-night stay at the fishing lake was a dream come true for any angler. The well-maintained cabins had all the amenities I needed, making it a comfortable stay. The fishing experience was exceptional, with plenty of opportunities to catch a variety of fish. The staff's expertise and guidance added to the experience, and the tranquil atmosphere allowed for complete relaxation. I spent my evenings admiring breathtaking sunsets over the lake, and the overall sense of serenity was a much-needed break from everyday life. I'm already planning my next visit to this fishing paradise.

Well what can I say sat waiting for the ferry back to the UK after the best weeks fishing I have ever had!! Non of the big big girls but 40+ fish between us 4 30s, 30+ 20s and a handful of doubles. A selection of some of the fish we had during a crazy week at Jimmy's!
We had everything during the week, 102 fish between the two of us, 31lb 10oz the biggest, great food, great Spod mix (ignore it at your peril!), heat, rain, thunder, strong winds, you name it!
None of the bigger fish for us but plenty of action, at times we couldn't keep rods in the water!
Peter and Fraser are two guys who can't do enough for you, great company during the evening meals, and we feasted like Kings (I did manage to finish a couple of the meals!). James was also a dab hand at breakfast....

Had an amazing time fishing this place! Peter and frazer are unreal hosts and highly recommend listening to them when it comes to advise. The food is really good plenty to fill you up! They go above and beyond to make your experience one to remember! The facilities are really good especially the shower!
The fish are immaculate just wish I ordered more bait so that I could get through to the big ones but I know this for next time! Had over 60 carp between 3 of us ranging from 17lb to 34lb. Some of the hardest fighting fish I’ve ever caught!

Hosts Peter and fraiser really made you feel welcome and were great with good food and plenty of it at a great fishery! Me and my friend Tom Samuels had a awesome time all be a very slow week on the fishing front they just didn’t seem to be on the munch but still had some good fish 35lb 11oz being the biggest.
